展覽論述:
有光的時候,才會意識到影子;處於完全的暗處,光才能被賦予意義。我們有時會突然發現到周圍總是有著相互矛盾,又各自成立的狀況,這是一個不斷提問與反問的對話過程。「二律背反」是由八位風格各異的攝影藝術家,透過影像的敘事以及影像群之間的排列組合,拋出互相對立又互相輔佐的論題。
地圖並非它所代表的領土,但它有類似領土的結構。銀行裡的存款數字,無法代表一個人富足的程度,影像、思想或文字,都不斷地向人們提出對世界萬物真實性的質疑、重新理解與再詮釋。
本次主題以人為出發點,討論對立觀點上的平衡、自身與他者的和諧、秩序與混亂的共存、存在與否的念想、生與死的循環。個體思維真正帶給我們的挑戰,並非如何決斷或定義,而在於我們如何察覺、反映與回饋的過程。

Exhibition Statement
Light reveals the shadow;
and only in complete darkness does light gather meaning.
At times, we become quietly aware—
the world around us is built on opposing truths that coexist,
each valid, each incomplete.
Antinomy brings together eight photographic artists,
each with a distinct sensibility,
to engage in a silent dialogue of images—
where contradictions speak,
and arrangements of visual tension offer new ways of seeing.
A map is never the land it depicts,
yet it carries the echo of its structure.
The numbers in a bank account cannot measure the fullness of a life.
Images, thoughts, and words
constantly challenge what we call real,
offering routes toward reinterpretation—
toward renewal.
This exhibition takes the human presence as its starting point:
to explore the fragile balance between opposites,
the harmony between self and other,
the soft edges where order meets chaos,
the imagination of presence and absence,
the quiet turning of life into death, and back again.
The challenge of individual thought lies not in choosing sides,
but in how we notice,
how we reflect,
how we return something of ourselves in response.
